APB Reloaded 15-Year Anniversary Event

San Paro citizens, it’s time to celebrate! APB Reloaded is turning 15. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a new recruit, we’re kicking off our biggest anniversary yet with in-game events, fresh updates, and a look toward the future.

Not many games make it this far, so we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to go big!

In fact, the update we had planned got too big, and we are now splitting the event into two back-to-back parts.

The official 15-Year Anniversary celebration starts July 2nd and runs until July 16th. Our “Legends” 1.33 patch is expected to launch a couple of weeks after the event as our next major update.

What is in the 15-Year Anniversary Event?

Anti-Cheat Update

Last year, we tried an experimental new anti-cheat from an external company. Little Orbit spent months building new internal systems and adapting old ones to fully integrate that AC so that we could try an entirely new and innovative approach to managing cheaters.

Unfortunately, due to a number of factors, that external company couldn’t keep up with updates and features, so we parted ways.

However, it is clear that before we can introduce any more new features or content to the game, this is the largest problem we need to solve.

After trying nearly every anti-cheat in the game industry, we’re excited to finally announce that APB is getting its own in-house anti-cheat system. Our team has been hard at work developing a solution custom-tailored specifically for the game, designed to offer a better gameplay experience and a safer environment for everyone.

The new anti-cheat system features three distinct pieces:

1. A client-side kernel mode driver with runtime protection and cheat detection.
2. A server-side analysis engine that processes various different types of data.
3. A sanction system that processes detections, alters matchmaking results, restricts access to various in-game systems, or outright bans players.

This has been a massive effort, and we hope to be fine-tuning and rolling out updates frequently as we target the various active cheats in our community.

US East Coast Servers

We’ve had a rough year of networking issues so far. But we are happy to announce that we are finally done rebuilding our global network infrastructure. Effective June 25th, Little Orbit owns and operates its own worldwide fleet of servers protected by an amazing anti-DDoS system and redundant circuits.

In addition to our West Coast and Central Europe regions, we have also brought our East Coast region back online! Now players in that part of the country can enjoy low-latency games once again.

As part of this effort, we were also able to design a small “drop-in” footprint of infrastructure and game servers. It is our hope to identify a couple more regions that we can now implement in other parts of the world to help APB Reloaded grow.

Leaderboards

APB Reloaded now has a season-based leaderboard system, and we’re going to be doing a test run during this event!

The community has been requesting leaderboards for a long time now, but we want to roll out something that rewards everyone, not just the best of the best. Additionally, we felt it was necessary to hold this feature back until we had a fully functioning anti-cheat.

• Leaderboard objectives change every couple of weeks.
• Leaderboards update daily.
• Leaderboard reward structure works similar to that of Fightclubs to award players for playing as well as give the best of the best more rewards to chase for.
• Leaderboards award Joker Tickets for now but we will be heavily expanding on the rewards as we move out of its test run.

Premium Is Back and Reworked

After offering free Premium since 2020, we’re reintroducing a reworked paid subscription packed with powerful new perks. For just $4.99/month, Premium members will now receive 1500 Joker Tickets monthly, up to 30% XP bonuses, 125% more APB$ gains, exclusive discounts in the ARMAS Marketplace, and access to a rotating Premium Vault with rare items. You can even display your Clan name as your character title, with more exclusive features like Premium Leaderboards on the way. Many of the old Premium benefits, like increased design capacity and improved XP boosts, are now free for everyone—so all players benefit.

Quality of Life Fixes

We also took the time to fix or add some things that the community has been requesting. Here is a partial list of fixes:

• Entering vehicles has been reworked so that players cannot teleport immediately if there is not enough room to play the animation.
• Mission Task Marker Opacity now decreases by 80% when in Marksmanship mode to avoid mission markers from getting in the way of a fight.
• Retired the OCA-SD archetype; all OCA-SDs now use the OCA ‘Whisper’ stats.
• Added many extra car spawning spots to existing Car Spawners around Financial.

15th Year Anniversary Celebrations

We’re celebrating 15 years of All Points Bulletin with a new role similar to that of the Back in the Streets event back in March! Log in during the event and finish opposed missions to level the 15th Year Anniversary role and earn 5 new titles as well as a total of 1950 Joker Tickets! Additionally, all players logging in during the event will receive the “Ladder Climber” title as a login reward!

And that’s not all, after the 15-Year Anniversary event ends, we’ll be rolling directly into “Legends”, our biggest APB patch to date!
