GamersFirst Account Integration Patch - Tomorrow at 2 PM PDT! By Fallen Earth Team | Thu 2011-07-28
Tomorrow we will complete the integration of Fallen Earth with GamersFirst, with the game going down at approximately 2 PM PDT/5PM EDT. This process is expected to take quite some time, so we will provide updates tomorrow as to when services are expected to be back up and running again.
What you can expect when we come back up:
Logging in to Fallen Earth will now require a GamersFirst account; make one here for free
The first time you log in to the game following the maintenance you will be prompted to merge your Fallen Earth account with a GamersFirst account (a URL will also be given, once it is available, for merging your accounts without having to log in to the game client)
Credit card payment information will transition to GamersFirst along with your account. If you pay with a credit card, no action will be necessary on your part to complete this.
PayPal payment information will not transition along with your GamersFirst account. In order to make sure your subscription continues the next time it is set to recur, please visit your account settings and input your PayPal information. If you choose not to do this, your account will remain active until the final day of your subscription, after which time you will be unable to log in to the game until you update your payment information.
ClickandBuy will, unfortunately, no longer be an available payment option for recurring subscriptions. ClickandBuy subscribers are invited to continue their subscriptions with either a credit card or PayPal account.
As mentioned on the blog, GamersFirst will be giving out free G1 Credits to all actively subscribed accounts that complete the merge process as our way of saying thank you!Please note that this is not the Free2Play transition. Gameplay and content will not be affected by this downtime, and subscriptions will still be required once the game is available.
