GM stands for Game Master. Game Masters coordinate events, keep the servers clean, and answer players’ general questions.

If your character dies in game, the only loss you will experience is that of time played. You will respawn with your current experience level intact and replenished ammo.

It is not possible to trade items.

In War Rock, there are currently two factions. When you choose a side and join a game in progress, or start a new one, you will be sided with all the other players in your faction. You cannot harm one another. In this sense, you are very much a part of a squad or party. The number of players supported depends on the current game mode. Clans will have a clan tag before their name and will be supported at release via a separate web site.

Ammunition is not unlimited but can be replenished by dying and respawning, starting a new round, or using an ammo restocking station.

It is not possible to commit suicide in Close Quarters Combat mode or while driving a vehicle.

Yes! By pressing “enter” in game, you will bring up the chat menu. There are options for individual, team, global and clan chat.

Use the " key to initiate messaging to another player. The format is as follows: "hello"

You will gain ranks by accumulating experience points, which can be earned in various ways (capturing flags, killing enemy soldiers, etc.). The points you earn will vary depending upon how many players are in the game and the action you took.

You will earn Dinar (the currency of War Rock) by completing games and leveling. You can use this in the Armory (accessible from the Lobby) to “lease” new weapons and equipment. Upon Commercial Launch, you will be able to purchase Dinar packages that will come with extra benefits.

You will suffer a penalty to any points or Dinar you earned during that game.

Download War Rock now by clicking here. Alternatively, you can purchase the retail package at participating stores.

Check to make sure that any anti-virus or security software that scans your email is not deleting or moving email from us to your junk folder. Also, some email service providers, including ISPs, can blacklist companies’ emails so all K2 Network can do is suggest alternate email services that work. If you have not been able to get a verification code through your email service please create an account on one of the free services listed below. If one service doesn’t work for you, try another on the list.

Your personal information is located in your personal K2 Network profile. Your profile can be edited at any time once you have signed in with your ID and password. Simply click on the “My Account” link and make your desired changes. At this time, there is no ability to change account information other than what is listed in Account Management.

You can retrieve your log in information from the main War Rock web site. Under the “Support” Tab, scroll down to the “Forgot Login” link or click here.

Make sure your account name is something that only you would know. Please make sure your character name is not the same as your account name and protect your password by changing it often using a combination of letters and numbers. Also, be wary of downloading any unknown files from other people to prevent getting viruses. If an unofficial War Rock website requires you to log in with your in-game account ID and password, most likely it is a scam. Remember that K2 Network will never ask for your password.

Unfortunately we do not restore lost weapons, experience or Dinar. The best thing you can do is make sure the computer you use to access War Rock is a secure one. Try to keep your passwords unique and make sure the computer is clear of key loggers. A good practice is to change your password every so often and to keep your information secure. We are sorry that there isn’t anything more we can do to help you.

When you log into War Rock through the official website, you will be able to see the reason why you are blocked. Please also refer to the Policies page for further details on why a GM will block an account. If you feel that you have been wrongly blocked, you can submit a Customer Support Ticket by also logging in on the website.

  • Inappropriate, crude or foul language.
  • Dodging the swear filters.
  • Flaming, causing problems in game, etc.
  • Intentionally using exploits.
  • Disrespecting admins.
  • Cheats/Hacking/Bug Abuse.

Bug abuse is taking advantage of, or exploiting, various game bugs (a temporary defect of game design) that occur during the lifespan of the game. Bug abuse is a bannable offense.

All bugs should be reported to customer support via our online support found here: http://warrock.gamersfirst.com/submit_ticket.php

You must be logged in to access Customer Support. Afterwards, you can click on “Submit Ticket” to send us your communications.

If you are going to report a cheater, please provide a server and the number of that server as well as the zone. We also ask, if possible, for screenshots and/or videos of the misdeeds. Remember, although we take this type of report very seriously and investigate each one, we cannot just ban someone simply on the word of other players.

Press the print screen button, then paste the image in “Microsoft Paint” and save it. Alternatively, it will auto-save to your War Rock folder. For optimal results, you can save it as a .png file. This creates a smaller file size without an appreciable loss in quality. Should you wish to capture video, you can download special software from Fraps.

One of the primary differences between War Rock and other FPS games is that we run our own servers. In doing so, we are able to moderate the environment to ensure a consistent and enjoyable experience for all players.

Game Masters in War Rock act as the voice of K2 Network within the Game Environment. They are employees that work to ensure that the players are enjoying the game, and that the environment is kept clean, safe, and fair.

GMs have the ability to take action against accounts which are disruptive in the game environment. This includes but is not limited to removing users from the game, closing accounts, and disallowing certain PCs to connect to War Rock.

They are also the in-game communication point between K2 Network and the players in the game. They are able to answer general questions regarding War Rock.

To contact the War Rock GM department, choose the ‘Submit Ticket’ option on the War Rock Web Site. Game Masters handle the Feedback, Bug Report, and Report Abuse tickets.

If you see someone with ‘K2’ in front of their name, it means that they are K2 Staff, meaning that they could be a GM, a developer, or another position involved with the production of War Rock. If you want to know, just ask!

GMs do not give out EXP, Dinar, or Weapons in normal rooms; however, GMs may run events from time to time which may have rewards associated with them. These events are always planned and announced in either the forum, the in-game lobby, or as an in-game message. Unfortunately, GMs will be unable to open up special rooms by request.

Easy! Just log in to the War Rock website, then click on "My Account" in the menu. You can then click on "Marketplace" to make purchases. The Marketplace will accept major credit cards as well as Click and Buy.

If you choose to automatically renew ("Automatically bill me when my premium expires"), you will automatically be billed for your next month of Premium when your current month expires. You may choose to turn automatic billing on or off by logging in to the War Rock website and clicking on "My Account," then "Account Details."

No. Purchasing Premium gives you access to Premium features and benefits; it does not exempt you from the Terms of Service or User Agreements for War Rock.

You cannot use a Retail Code if you currently have Premium active on your account. Please wait until your current Premium expires, then use your Retail Code.

Process Guard is a security program that locks the Windows process or blocks the ability of a new process to be started. If a PC Café is using this software, Punkbuster will be blocked from being started and you will be kicked from the game in the first few minutes of game play.

War Rock is a Peer to Peer game and as such it consumes 2 to 4 times the normal amount of bandwidth as most FPS games.

Some PC Cafés may monitor or use software to perform network shaping to stop or slow down Peer to Peer applications. BitTorrent is one such application, and many PC Cafés block its use because of the amount of bandwidth it consumes; this can affect other games in the PC Café.

Depending on the PC Café’s internal and external network connection it may affect War Rock players especially if there are multiple War Rock games being played in the PC Café. The faster the PC Café’s connection both upload and download speeds will reduce the lag the player may have.

Some other software programs such as virus scanners, firewalls and Internet security software packages are suspicious of any new services and kernel drivers when they are first released. Some of these will block the new Punkbuster components, thereby causing the "Losing Key Packets" error. Until these various packages are updated to correctly identify PnkBstrA.exe, PnkBstrB.exe, and PnkBstrK.sys as components of the PunkBuster Anti-Cheat System, players who experience PunkBuster kicks due to these conflicts need to either manually adjust the settings of the other software running on their system or disable the other software while playing on War Rock

Intermittent network connection between the player and the game/PB master server can also cause this error.

To get the game to launch you can try the following: right-click on the War Rock icon and choose Properties from the pop-up menu. Then click the Compatibility tab and check the box that says "Run this program as an administrator," then click the OK button. This will now set warrock.exe to run as administrator.

In order to run War Rock on Vista, you might have to do a few things.

  1. Go to the Directory that you have Install War Rock too.
  2. Find the following exe files WRLauncher exe and WRUpdater exe and right click on each one then select Properties
  3. Select the Compatibility tab.
  4. Select "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
  5. Also select the box "Run this program as an administrator.
  6. Select OK
  7. Now go to the System directory in the War Rock Directory
  8. Right click on WarRock exe and select Properties.
  9. Select the Compatibility tab.
  10. Select "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
  11. Then select the box "Run this program as an administrator.
  12. Select OK

You will most likely have to do this because of the increased layers of security that Vista has in regards to running programs.

Try the following steps in order:

  1. Uninstall War Rock.
  2. Go to the directory that you installed War Rock on. (Default is: C:/Program Files/Warrock) and delete the Warrock folder completely.
  3. Re-install War Rock and patch.

You may be able to, however War Rock does not officially support Vista 64bit due to the 32 bit structure of the game. 64 bit OS users may experience complications.

If you have your Windows Vista Firewall running, you may need to manually add War Rock to the exceptions section under Windows Vista. Here is how:

  1. Control Panel > Security Center
  2. Click on the “Windows Firewall” link on the left.
  3. Click on the “Allow a program through Windows Firewall” link.
  4. Click on “Add Program”
  5. Click on “Browse” and find the directory that you installed War Rock in.
