Sword of the New World is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) set in a lavish, romantic, world inspired by the Baroque period. Its story is modeled after the Age of Exploration, when European colonists forayed into the new world on a hunt for treasure, adventure and fame. Control up to three characters simultaneously and conquer a mysterious, dangerous continent. With five unique classes, each armed with an amazing arsenal of weapons, stances and skills, Sword of the New World delivers more adventure than any other MMORPG.

Multi character control (MCC) enables players to control up to three characters simultaneously. No longer limited to leveling just one character at a time, players can form a team of up to three characters and control them individually or as a group. MCC is designed to be fun and accessible for players new to the game and yet still challenging for veteran players long after they have several level 100 characters to command. Team settings, movement and camera controls, fighting and gathering modes, and hot keys all work together to make MCC as engaging as it is intuitive.
Each class in Sword of the New World develops a powerful array of combat stances. Combat stances give characters their unique skills, abilities, and weapon options. Stances are leveled through combat not by character leveling. With each stance level gain, skill points are awarded. The more points assigned to a skill, the more powerful that skill becomes.
As you progress through the game you have the ability to learn stances that are related to your class. Each stance has several skills. Skills are the spells and techniques you perform to crush your enemies. As your stances gains levels, new skills are unlocked.
"UPC" stands for unique player character. UPCs will be available through a variety of methods, such as quests, and will add depth and diversity to classes by mixing and matching stances as well as adding unique stances. Just as with all other characters, UPCs are persistent, meaning they will stay with your family as long as you wish.
A squad is a temporary team or group of families. Squads best match the role of parties and groups. Squads will be most often used in quests, dungeons, and instances.
A clan is a semi-persistent group of players. Clans allow for easy socializing between friends and teammates. Clans are an essential key to achieving your gaming goals.
Quarters are the place that your characters wait while they are not in active service. While your characters are in their quarters they do not gain experience. If you wish to level up characters in your quarters, you must either play them or level them up passively by using experience cards.
One of the first things a player must do is choose a unique name for his or her family. Each character is a member of the player's family. Therefore, all characters have a given name and a family name.
Yes. Premium Bundle customers will now receive 1,000 Gold and one UPC for $19.99, and instead of one free month, you will receive 100,000 Vis. There are a wide variety of items purchasable in the cash shop, ranging from temporary boosts to unique costumes for characters.
