Bug Report Alternative Download Client

It was noticed a while ago that when players download the new Sword Client, some of the mini maps are in Korean. We are working with the Product Development team to compile a new client and distribute them to our download partners.

Meanwhile, as per the request of the players who have downloaded these clients, we have uploaded the Map Files that can be downloaded manually to resolve this issue. This work around will eliminate the task of downloading the complete Sword Client once again. Please follow the steps carefully.

File Name: ui.ipf
Size: 569 MB

Step 1: Locate the map file. (ui.ipf)

Open the 'ge' folder which is normally found under Sword directory.

C:\Program Files\Sword of The New World\ge

Copy and backup the file named ui.ipf into a different folder in-case something goes wrong.

Step 2: Download the new file.

The ipf file which contains English version of the maps can be downloaded by clicking here

When you click the link, a pop up window will prompt the user to save a file. Click 'save'.

This file can be saved on the desktop or any other folder or it can be downloaded directly into the 'ge' folder.

Step 3: Replace the corrupt file with the new ipf file.

If the file was downloaded to a different location, then Copy the file and open C:\Program Files\Sword of The New World\ge

Paste and replace the old file from the ge folder with the newly download ui.ipf file.

Step 4: Cookies

Once you replace the file, launch the Sword client and login with your User ID and Password and check the mini maps. You will be surprised to see that you can suddenly read and understand Korean.

Wait a minute...it's not Korean. It's English!!!
