Alleys Location: Alleys Mission Types: TDM / Campaign / Reinforcement Ideal operative number: 8-10 Description: New York residential alley level. Unlike other levels of Parabellum, this map is more focused on fun, fast paced and close combat situations. Story: Close quarters baby! If you like your action fast, furious and right in your face then this is the map for you. Narrow alleys, winding stairs and cramped buildings mean there's a surprise around every corner. Will it be you or the other guy who gets caught off his guard? You can get to the rooftops for a better view of the battlefield but remember that if you can see them, they can see you too. Rooftops Location: Rooftops Mission Type: TDM / Campaign / Reinforcement Ideal player number: 10-16 Description: This level takes place entirely on the residential roofs of New York. Apart from looking over the beautiful skyline and interesting rooftops of New York, Story: It's not the fall that kills you; it's the sudden stop at the end - although the amount of lead flying through the air isn't good for your health either. Take a deep breath of that city air, get an eyeful of the New York skyline and try not to get your head blown off doing it. This map is all about height; winners go up, losers go down. Pier Location: Pier Mission Types: TDM / Campaign / Reinforcement Ideal player number: 10 Description: This level takes place on a touristic pier located directly next to the east river. Apart from the waterway the level is surrounded by the Pier 17 landmark building, boats and a highway. The buildings contain small gift shops, restaurants, information/ticket centers and museums that help to underline the touristic theme. Through the implementation of terraces a variation of height is given to ensure Z-Axis gameplay. Story: Normally this place would be swarming with tourists, today it's a good place to train your grenade throwing arm. There are plenty of places to set up an ambush but be careful, there's a good chance that someone got there first... You can take the high road across the terrace or use it as cover as you dash across the pier itself. The ice-cream parlors are all closed today but the boat is open for business if you want to try your hand at repelling boarders. < See Previous See Next > |

Greenwich Village Location: Greenwich Village Mission Type: TDM / Campaign / Reinforcement Ideal player number: 12-14 Description: This level takes place in a residential area of Manhattan with relatively narrow streets that do not always follow the typical grid system. The area is characterized by backyards, alleys and buildings with 2-5 floors. The focus of gameplay lies on short to medium range combats. Story: This may be the arty district of New York but you're not here to admire the pictures on the walls. Control the middle to dominate the map but don't let the enemy get too close or you'll be going home in a box. The bridge across the street can be a bunker if you can handle the pace. Snipers will find plenty of perches to set up but you'll need eyes in the back of your head if you don't want to get tagged and bagged yourself. Indoors you'll find stairways, galleries and plenty of places to come to a messy end. This is definitely a map that rewards co-operation and teamwork. < See Previous |
