Los Angeles, CA - As fun as games are, there is one aspect that is no fun at all: the price.
A brand-new console can cost several hundred dollars and it's
typical to see a new game to retail for as much as sixty dollars.
One company thinks it has the answer.
GamersFirst.com has a unique business plan, giving their games away for free.
"Download any of our games without paying any money, play them as much as you want and never give us any money," says Tracy Spraight with GamersFirst.com
While that not may seem like a good way to run a successful business; it's not like they don't have a way to make money.
"If you decide that you're enjoying your gaming experience, you might want to enhance it with some premium items. You can make small micro-transactions kinda along the lines of buying iTunes songs, " explains Spraight.
The best aspect, you won't be playing these games alone. Along with being a site dedicated to games, GamersFirst is also a social hub.
Nintendo is getting on the social-networking bandwagon as well.
This summer, you'll be able to automatically upload photos taken on your Nintendo DSi and share them with your friends on Facebook.
